With the return of trade fairs following the various restrictions, the Société Industrielle d'Amortisseurs decided to participate in the international Automechanika Istanbul fair in November 2021.

This fair was an opportunity for the leading company in Tunisia in the production of shock absorbers to present its new branding, representing much more than the renewal of a graphic charter. It is in fact an internal renewal related to the motto "Back in Force 2025" with product quality, continuous innovation and customer service as battle horses.

This participation in the fair was an opportunity to strengthen the close relationship with current partners by presenting new services, but also to remain attentive to the market, its innovations and new needs in order to respond quickly.

La société Industrielle d’Amortisseurs sets up all the necessary means and makes it a point of honour to continue to work on the quality of the products, whether for its own brands SIAAM/Record France, or for distributor brands. SIA completes its offer with different services to customers to guarantee an optimal buying experience: development of a new B2B ordering platform, presence on Tecdoc, and soon the launch of its new logistics platform

SIA's ambition is to position itself as a leader in North Africa in the field of suspension and to remain attentive to the needs of the market and the customers in order to offer optimal products/services of international calibre through high quality products and innovative services.

At SIA we like to put forward our partners because they are the driving force behind our evolution and our continuous will to innovate and develop in order to offer the best quality products and a whole range of services to keep in touch with the needs of the market. Thus we went to meet one of SIA's historical partners, the Moroccan company Sodirep.

1/ Presentation of Sodirep

Sodirep is a company created in 1993, it is the leader in spare parts in Morocco. Thanks to its will of expansion since its beginning, Sodirep has developed its sales outlets and different partnerships on different departments and thus offers a great diversity of products. Sodirep is composed of three departments, one dedicated to automotive parts, another dedicated to accessories and bodywork and a third dedicated to lubricants.

2/ Partnership with SIA :

The partnership with SIA is a historical partnership that was initiated with the Record brand of shock absorbers, which allows us to have a wide range that SIA offers and that adapts to the needs of the Moroccan fleet.

4/ The current situation with SIA in the context of the pandemic:

The pandemic was a challenging period but despite the health difficulties in both countries, SIA and Sodirep adapted to the new situation, and the commercial partnership was not impacted thanks to a willingness of both parties to maintain orders and their regularity.

We went to meet one of our historical partners as it is important for the SIA to highlight the partnerships that allow us to move forward and develop locally and internationally

1-Can you introduce yourself ?

I have been trading since I was 18 in Establishment Rekik, founded in 1996 but the story began much earlier in 1972 with my father Abdelaziz Rekik who made spare parts in Sfax. We have been trading for almost 50 years, and we've come a long way since then. Today, Établissement Rekik imports from Europe and China, has solid partnerships, a range of diversified products that reach all European and Asian brands, selected clients and operates throughout Tunisia.

2-When did you start making orders from SIA?

The adventure started very early for me with SIA. In 1992, I was hired as a salesperson, with my father Abdelaziz Rekik who introduced me to the field of commerce and shock absorbers. The first item I sold was a Shock Absorber, I was 18 years old. Then I became manager of Ets Rekik in 1996 until today ...

3-What products do you order from SIA?

We order all the references of the Record & SIAAM range, although we make parts for passenger cars we make the exception for shock absorbers by also offering heavy weight vehicles, any new reference manufactured by SIA must imperatively be in stock in our stores. RECORD & SIAAM are battle brands for our company and we have always invested in substantial inventory for shock absorbers, to maximize availability and to meet virtually any demand.

4-According to you, what are the strengths of the SIA?

* After-sales service (Many thanks to the after-sales service for its responsiveness and sense of responsibility)

* Delivery (Daily, fluid ... no complaints ...)

* Quality (OEM Supplier, Exporter for Africa and Europe and very few complaints at the local level. Clear messages for a good product that innovates every day ...)

* Range (A fleet that changes rapidly, new products every month, with that the SIA provides a lot of efforts to adapt to new products and we encourage it to do more to satisfy our customers and to always be number 1 on the Tunisian market).

5-Are you satisfied with the SIA's offer (products, services, marketing, etc.)?

It must be said that Établissement Rekik has always had very solid and privileged relations with SIA since the beginning and this has been materialized over the years. SIA has made its own way since 1989 and has evolved, so have we ... Since the beginning, all of SIA's combined departments: Production, Sales, Marketing and Management have done everything to improve the brand, they have always listened to us and the results are visible, SIA is today one of our industrial and internationally renowned pride and we will always be there to support it. SIA and Ets Rekik, a life-long partnership in memory of our father Abdelaziz Rekik peace to his soul, but also to Mr. Ezzeddine Hentati peace to his soul, the founding father who encouraged and supported us a lot, that we esteem and that we will never forget. The story is not over since this union continues today with Mr. Ahmed Hentati with the same spirit of partnership and belonging to this company, trying to follow in the footsteps of our predecessors and do everything so that the SIA still remains one of the jewels of Tunisian industry.

A quoi servent les amortisseurs ?

Les amortisseurs jouent un rôle essentiel dans la sécurité et la stabilité du véhicule en encaissant les chocs. Ils garantissent également le confort des passagers durant la conduite en aidant à stabiliser les mouvements de votre véhicule, améliorant le contrôle lorsque vous tournez, freinez, accélérez ou rencontrez des surfaces de route inégales. Les amortisseurs maintiennent le contact en permanence entre les roues du véhicule et la route.

Quand faut-il changer ses amortisseurs ?

Les amortisseurs n’ont pas de durée de vie utile à proprement parler mais cela ne signifie pas qu’ils ne nécessitent pas d’être remplacés. Voici quelques signes indiquant que vous devez vérifier l’état de vos amortisseurs et les changer.

1. Conduite cahoteuse

Une conduite cahoteuse ou tremblante est un moyen facile de savoir si vos amortisseurs doivent être remplacés. Vous remarquerez la diminution de la qualité de conduite quand vous êtes sur des routes accidentées. Avec des amortisseurs usés, votre voiture vous offre une conduite beaucoup plus inconfortable que d’habitude. Vous sentirez davantage les bosses, et la conduite sera donc irrégulière.

2. Problèmes de direction

Un autre signe révélateur d’un problème d’amortisseur est une difficulté de direction. Vous ne manquerez pas de remarquer des déviations susceptibles de vous faire perdre le contrôle de votre véhicule et potentiellement mettre votre vie et celle d’autrui en danger. Votre volant peut sembler raide ou difficile à tourner. Lorsque les amortisseurs sont défaillants, vous pouvez avoir l’impression que votre voiture oscille ou penche lorsque vous prenez un virage.

3. Problèmes de freinage

Dans les situations de freinage, vous pourriez observer une distance plus longue pour arrêter votre véhicule. Comme les amortisseurs sont une partie structurelle de votre véhicule, des amortisseurs en mauvais état peuvent entraîner d’autres problèmes que ceux de la suspension. Vous pouvez remarquer que votre voiture est instable, qu’elle pique du nez ou qu’elle se balance vers l’avant lorsque vous freinez.

4. Fuites de liquide

L’indice visuel le plus courant indiquant que vos amortisseurs ont besoin d’être réparés est une fuite de liquide. Les fluides sont censés se trouver à l’intérieur de l’amortisseur, et non à l’extérieur. Cela se produit lorsque les joints de l’amortisseur sont usés ou endommagés. Un amortisseur qui fuit ne fonctionnera pas correctement car la perte de liquide entravera son fonctionnement interne. Par ailleurs, la saleté et la rouille peuvent se déposer sur l’amortisseur et se coincer dans le liquide, ce qui affecte son mouvement .

5. Usure inhabituelle des pneus

Des pneus anormalement enrayés peuvent être un signe qu’il faut changer les amortisseurs. En effet, si les amortisseurs sont défectueux, c’est les pneus qui absorbent tous les chocs.Ils présentent alors une usure irrégulière, qui a généralement un aspect différent de celui des pneus vieillissants.

6.Kilométrage

Il n’y a pas de kilométrage précis au bout duquel vous devez changer vos amortisseurs car la durée de vie de ces derniers dépend de deux choses :

      a. Le véhicule : Pour la majorité des voitures, les amortisseurs doivent être remplacés à environ 80 000 km. L’entretien des amortisseurs peut prévenir des dommages à long terme à votre voiture, il est donc toujours préférable de faire vérifier votre suspension tous les 80 000 km plutôt que d’attendre que quelque chose se passe mal.

      b. L’usage du véhicule : Conduire sur des routes rugueuses, tracter une remorque ou transporter de lourdes charges, peut raccourcir leur durée de vie fonctionnelle. En cas d’utilisation intensive, vous pouvez envisager de les remplacer plutôt que d’habitude.

Qu’est ce qui pourrait endommager vos amortisseurs ?

1. Les routes dégradées : Si vous conduisez sur de mauvaises routes ou si vous heurtez souvent des nids de poule, votre véhicule rebondira plus fréquemment et vos amortisseurs risquent d’être endommagés.

2. La corrosion : La corrosion peut créer une faiblesse structurelle ou des trous dans la structure de suspension. Elle peut rendre les véhicules extrêmement dangereux à conduire.

3. L’âge de la voiture : L’âge de la voiture et le nombre de kilomètres effectués sont à considérer quand il s’agit des amortisseurs, plus ils seront sollicités plus ils seront à même de s’user.

4. Un accident : Après un choc important tel qu’une collision, il est inévitable de vérifier l’état de vos amortisseurs.

5. La manière de conduire : une conduite sportive est plus exposée aux risques de casse d’amortisseur.

Pourquoi changer ses amortisseurs ?

Jouant un rôle clé dans la sécurité des personnes à bord du véhicule, les amortisseurs doivent être en excellent état. Lorsque les amortisseurs sont usés, le confort lors de la conduite diminue de façon conséquente puisque les chocs sont moins bien absorbés. Les conséquences peuvent être plus dangereuses quand les amortisseurs sont défaillants. Ils ne sont pas en mesure de maintenir le pneu en contact avec la route ou même d’éviter un mouvement excessif du véhicule. C’est ce qu’on appelle l’Aquaplaning. Cela se produit normalement lorsqu’il y a de l’eau sur la route et que les pneus de votre voiture sont usés. Lorsque vous passez sur la pellicule d’eau, le pneu se soulève de la route et vous perdez complètement le contrôle. Ce dernier devient plus difficile à contrôler sur la route et constitue un danger pour le conducteur, le passager et les autres usagers de la route.

La Société industrielle d’Amortisseurs (SIA), créée en 1989, occupe la première place dans la fabrication et la commercialisation d’amortisseurs au sud de la méditerranée. 

SIA est une société qui se veut solidaire et impliquée dans la vie civile. SIA a fait un don pour une initiative citoyenne contre le COVID intitulée CoviDar. 

Covidar est une initiative citoyenne élaborée par des médecins exerçants en Tunisie et en France contre le Covid-19. Cette initiative consiste à prendre en charge à domicile des patients positifs ou potentiellement positifs au COVID. Cela a pour but de prévenir l’encombrement des établissements hospitaliers et empêcher les cas COVID de s’aggraver.
